Before I began working with Liza, I had been suffering with nagging back pain from an old injury. I was excited to try acupuncture, but skeptical that it would help. Acupuncture relieved the pain and many other symptoms! When I began to suffer from relentless hot flashes, my first thought was to return to Liza. Amazingly, the hot flashes have completely resolved. Not only is Liza knowledgeable and skilled, she is empathetic and kind. Her gentle approach always leaves me feeling calmer and renewed. She is truly a gifted healer!

It would be impossible to thank the entire Stram Center enough for helping me with my Lyme Disease. After going to hospitals in NY, Philadelphia, Boston, NJ, Mayo Clinic . I was diagnosed with a ton of diseases none of which I had. Finally, I found my way thanks to a friend to the Cleveland Clinic. They had just opened a division for patients like me that cannot get diagnosed. Cleveland diagnosed me with chronic Lyme and sent me immediately to The Stram Center. Within two weeks I was at Stram getting treatment. I cannot tell you how kind and helpful the entire staff was. They were always there to answer questions and to help me with whatever I needed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rebecca Rice for over two years.
A little background…..Several years ago, my sister and I had similar damage to our Achilles tendons, causing significant pain and greatly reducing physical mobility and activity. We were referred by separate podiatrists for surgery. My sister followed her podiatrist’s recommendation-two separate surgeries removed her big toe tendons, using them to replace the damaged Achilles tendons. Following each surgery, she endured eight non-weight-bearing weeks, then four weeks in a walking boot and approximately six weeks of physical therapy. I couldn’t afford the extended post-surgery recovery periods; and, having once enjoyed practicing yoga, I didn’t want to lose my big toe tendons. I arrived at Stram Center limping and in considerable pain.

Lisa Field is an incredible body worker. The myofascial tissue release techniques that she uses have helped me to release so much tension in places I never even knew could be so tight. She is willing to explain all the things she is doing, as she does them, because of her I have gained a greater understanding of why I have been in pain and also how all parts of my body are connected. Beyond her magical hands, Lisa is a beautiful soul.

It's been a pleasure and a great help to receive acupuncture treatments from Liza. One of the qualities she possesses which is so often missing in todays medical world is that “she listens.” Liza always takes time to listen to issues of concern ranging from areas of discomfort to diet, stress, exercise and lifestyle choices. She has also recommenced numerous sources of information to augment the treatments. I cant say enough good things about her dedication and commitment to improving the health of her patients.
