Danielle Stram, M.S. Ed, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I am a licensed mental health counselor who offers a warm, empathetic, judgement-free, and safe space for individuals to explore their bodies, deeper selves, work through life’s challenges, and to create more meaning to their lives.

I conceptualize through a person-centered, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and somatic lens, as well as tailoring interventions and care for the needs of the individual. I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client can help foster the most change in people. With my experience working in community mental health agencies in Brooklyn and Queens, NY, I provided care to individuals of all ages suffering with  mild to severe mental and chronic illness. This incredibly rewarding experience perpetuated the importance of providing quality mental health care to all individuals.

With my experience working in the complex mental health care system in NYC, I saw first-hand the connections our minds play in our physical health. I can help facilitate the exploration and usage of healthy mental health coping strategies whilst bearing the weight of chronic illness.

I believe that individual challenges are unique to your experiences, circumstances, cultural and spiritual beliefs, and personal identity. I feel so privileged to be able to engage in meaningful connections with clients, and to help people learn tools to better navigate interpersonal issues. By challenging yourself in therapy, it can help bring you closer to obstacles you felt you could never overcome, but more importantly, therapy can help bring you closer to yourself and your needs, mind, body and soul.

Especially during such unprecedented times, seeking help and support is not only courageous but a way to find light in what can seem like ongoing darkness. I look forward to joining you on this journey.
