Position Summary
The Physician Associate (PA-C) provides comprehensive, patient-centered medical care in a state of the artsintegrative outpatient medical practice under the supervision of Dr. Stram, medical director and licensed physician. This role requires advanced clinical judgment, independent decision-making within scope of practice, and close collaboration with providers and clinical staff to support diagnosis, treatment, and continuity of care. The Stram Center is non-insurance based, and therefore our patient provider experience is positively heightened and not bound by restrictive insurance based dictates for health care delivery.
The PA-C delivers care in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations, practice protocols, and professional standards, while maintaining accurate documentation, patient education, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Job Functions
Clinical Assessment + Patient Care
· Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including review of medical history, medications, allergies, and presenting concerns
· Perform physical examinations and clinical assessments appropriate to patient needs
· Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
· Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests as permitted by scope of practice
· Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with licensure, DEA registration, and practice protocols
· Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care
· Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition appropriately
· Documentation & Care Coordination
· Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
· Ensure documentation supports clinical decision-making, continuity of care, and billing requirements
· Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical staff
· Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
· Respond to patient inquiries and follow-up needs in collaboration with the care team
Clinical Operations + Quality
· Adhere to established clinical policies, procedures, and evidence-based guidelines
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical reviews as assigned
· Support efficient clinic workflows and patient flow
· Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
· Practice within defined scope, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and ethical standards
Compliance, Safety + Professional Standards
· Comply with all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws
· Maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
· Follow safety, infection control, and emergency procedures
· Escalate clinical concerns or risks to supervising providers or leadership as appropriate
Qualifications
Required:
· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
· Current PA-C licensure in applicable state(s)
· NCCPA certification in good standing
· Current DEA registration, if applicable
· Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred:
· Experience in outpatient or integrative healthcare settings
· Familiarity with infusion services, functional or integrative medicine
· Experience with electronic medical records (Cerbo or similar systems)
