I started to have a really strong interest in integrative medicine and the power of food when I was a teenager. Having been put on a diet at eight years old, followed by multiple “diets” through my teens, I started to be curious about food and how to use food for health.

I was reading books and learning about alternative ways to heal including Chiropractic and colon health in those teen and college age years. My professional life started in business and while I had success in it, I found it lacked a meaningful dimension I was looking for in my work.I left it to work as the office manager for my Chiropractor, Dr. Howard Sichel. That was a defining moment that connected me to the power of harnessing the body’s internal wisdom to heal. I loved tracking the progress of patient’s healing and we often added lifestyle support including movement like Pilates, supplements, dietary changes and even helped them explore the impact of stress on their body.Inspired by that experience, I explored and considered training in many alternative practices including traditional Chinese medicine, Chiropractic and Shiatsu. I really wanted to be an integrative practitioner. The timing wasn’t quite right for those pursuits and I was led to Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy and Kripalu Yoga teacher training and went on to certify in both.I discovered Pilates while working for Dr. Sichel and then became a certified Power Pilates teacher. My interest in healthy lifestyle including food only intensified during that time making lifestyle recommendations to my students. While living in Canada, I had the opportunity to take a unique Holistic Nutrition training which I loved and started to expand into my teaching practice. It sparked my insatiable desire to learn more and a few years later while living in Westchester County, NY, I obtained my Masters in Human Nutrition. That offered me a deeper dive into the world of functional medicine: where we look at root causes of imbalances rather than just addressing symptoms. My many years working in the Chiropractic office taught me the power of the body to heal once you remove obstacles.

Most recently, I have had the privilege of working as a Functional Medicine nutritionist for several years with Dr. Mark Hyman and his medical team at the UltraWellness Center in Lenox, Massachusetts. Working with hundreds of patients at this premier functional medicine center offered me a wealth of experience and knowledge that I feel fortunate to have received. Working with that diverse client population has only deepened my commitment to the art and science of Functional Medicine. My approach is to help patients find practical ways to enjoy making healthy changes to create wellness. With all my training and experience, I consider myself not only a functional medicine nutritionist but also a lifestyle transformation specialist who is passionate about educating, guiding, coaching and assisting clients in finding balance in their life.

I feel very honored to be part of such a stellar team of top medical experts and compassionate practitioners at the Stram Center.

I look forward to working with you!
