Movement Classes Hosted by Dr. Rebecca Rice

Join Dr. Rebecca Rice, Doctorate of Acupuncture, for her movement classes at the Stram Center. 

QiYoga
Qigong is meditation in motion. Its slow paced movements promote healthy circulation, improve balance, tone the bones and muscles, calm the mind and support mental acuity. QiYoga classes include foundational yoga poses to further strengthen and tone the body alongside gentle meditative qigong exercises. The fusion of these traditional practices encourages physical, mental and emotional stability, vitality and clarity. Each class will reflect aspects of the season related to the five elements according to the principles of Chinese medicine. Class is suitable for all levels. Please wear flexible, flat bottomed shoes or bare feet. Yoga mat not required.

Yoga
Start your day feeling enlivened and at ease. In this yoga class we will stretch and strengthen, fine tune poses, breathe mindfully and practice being in the present. Class will be held in a supportive non-competitive environment.  Class is suitable for all levels and modifications will be given to suit.  Mats and props are available or you may bring your own.
