IBS and NAET for Food Intolerance and Sensitivity
Using NAET - an approach that uses acupressure in addition to acupuncture to address sensitivities, intolerances, and allergies.
Underlying a significant number of IBS diagnoses, there is often a food intolerance. This is not necessarily something that would appear as an allergy on an allergy test, but is a food that nevertheless causes intestinal upset when eaten. NAET is an approach that uses acupressure in addition to acupuncture to address sensitivities, intolerances and allergies. The client remains in contact with the allergen by holding it in a glass jar while numerous points are stimulated. The reactivity of the body is reduced by retraining it to remain in a balanced and non-reactive state while exposed to the agent that previously has caused it to become unbalanced. The client is then instructed to avoid that agent entirely for one 24 hour cycle to allow the body to settle into the new, healthier pattern. We have used NAET at the Center for chemical sensitivities, food allergies and airborne allergies, and the results thus far have been very positive.
